Media Expansion

In addition to iPods also MP3 players – such as Zune2, iRiver Clix, Creative Zen, Toshiba Gigabeat, using the MTP protocol or even connect USB memory devices like thumbdrives and USB hard drives – can be docked to the iDA-X100M. Song lists on USB devices are displayed alphabetically, and the unit will find music files while ignoring other file types.

Thanks to Full Speed AUX input using KCE-236B Full Speed to Mini-Jack Cable it is still possible to connect and enjoy audio from MP3 media devices or many cell phone types through Full Speed AUX+ feature. The KCE-236B comes complete with a 3.5mm stereo connector, perfect for most headphone jacks and even includes a 1.5mm stereo adapter perfect for many popular cell phones.

Note: MP3 device or cell phone cannot be independently controlled through the head unit.

Super-Fast USB Connection

The iDA-X100M uses a USB connection (cable included) for newer iPods which provides ultra-fast digital data transfer so songs are loaded instantly through the receiver. For maximum sound quality the iD-X100M is using USB along with the 24-Bit D/A converter, allowing for an incredible Signal to Noise ratio of 105dB. In addition, the iDA-X100M rapidly loads up and displays full Album Artwork.

Full Speed Connection for iPod®

Older iPods can be connected by using the KCE-422i cable (optional), to get direct access to all iPod® music from the receiver. Full Speed provides full control to scroll through all Playlists, Artists, Albums, and Songs – and to view all song information right from the iDA receiver's display.
