Traffic Message Channel (TMC) is an industry technology for delivering traffic and travel information to drivers. TMC Location Codes are attributes in the map which enable applications to use traffic information services.
Map Updates include new roads, junctions, by-passes and motorway exits and millions of other changes.
Each road segment features up to 260 attributes - such as the number of lanes or one way systems -
which also need to be updated along with the extensiv list of Point of Interest.
For example, in this new European update more than more than thousands roundabouts, thousands street
names, thousands one way streets and thousands turn restrictions have been added or amended.
Furthermore more than thousands kinometers of roads have been updated incl. approximately thousands
sections of motorways.
