Nils Lofgren published in 1997 - following the extremely popular Unplugged tradition in the 1990s - a special treasure for his longtime fans. On Acoustic Live, the guitarist and singer-songwriter, armed only with a guitar, delights his grateful audience with a selection of small gems, including favorites like You, No Mercy and Keith Do not Go, plus six new songs.

In addition to his work as a solo artist, Lofgren can look back on a membership of Neil Young's band Crazy Horse, his own band Grin, and of course more than 25 years alongside Bruce Springsteen as the guitarist of the E Street band. On numerous albums and tours Lofgren established himself as a top guitarist and thrilled the audience with his dynamic stage personality. With his acoustic live album, he again proves his qualities as an excellent musician. Acoustic Live was recorded on January 18, 1997 at The Barns Of Wolftrap in Vienna, Virginia. The recording was digitally 44.1 kHz / 16-bit. Acoustic Live is a rare exception in Analogue Productions' catalog: despite the fact that it was not possible to use analogue master tapes, Analogue Productions chose SACD because of the exceptional quality of the recording for a new edition of the album. The remastering was done by Ryan Smith.
