It is a revolutionary product that represents a major breakthrough in the cleaning of vinyl records.

The Nagaoka CL-1000 record cleaner uses a special rubber elastomer that almost never loses its original surface tack.

So the secret of this Nagaoka cleaning roller is hidden inside the sticky compound it is made of:

It is a very soft and tacky rubber that detaches dirt and dust from records surface and, thanks to its softness, it can collect dust even from the bottom of the deepest record grooves as well!

Once the dust makes the roller unusable all you have to do is wash it under tap water (or purified water, as you wish) and add a few drops of dishwashing detergent. Once it dries (shake it to remove the last drops of water) it gets sticky again. And again. And again. For years to come. Though being soft and sticky, the pale yellow mysterious rubber doesn't leave any trace or film on grooves, as it may happen with similar devices you might find at any DIY store (those you use for dresses cleaning, for example).

A record cleaner featuring a roll madeour of very soft silicone elastomer. One of the properties of this elastomer is that it is sticky. When rolling the cleaner over the record while applying a little pressure, the elastomer will deform and take the shape of the record groove. Any dust particles in the groove will stick to the rolling cleaner and be removed in that way. When the roll has become dusty simply wash it under tap water using a little hand soap. The dust will easily be rinsed off. After drying the roll with lint free paper, it will become just as sticky as when it was new. There is no danger that you will damage the label when rolling over the label.
