The beginning of a new Pro-Ject chapter: the A1 - fully automatic record player!

The A1 introduces the all new Automat line from Pro-Ject. Ever since Pro-Ject was founded in 1991, Pro-Ject has always pursued one goal: to bring hi-fi stereo music enjoyment to as many people as possible. Pro-Ject is very excited to add an entry-level fully automatic turntable to the product catalogue, creating new opportunities for future vinyl beginners and enthusiasts.

The A1 is handcrafted in Germany by a traditional manufacturer with many years of experience in the construction of automatic turntables. The individual components are also 98% manufactured and produced in Germany. Coupled with the technology and the ideas of Pro-Ject, new standards are set in the design of automatic turntables. Pro-Ject's new A1 is your best companion to comfortably enjoy your favorite vinyls.

The A1 has a fully automatic start/stop, whereby the automatic is completely decoupled during the entire running time of the record. The fully mechanical automatic is activated when you press start and the tone arm is automatically moved to the record groove. Once played, the automatic is decoupled and does not affect the playback quality.

The A1 features an ultra-lightweight 8.3-inch aluminum tonearm. Together with the Ortofon OM10, which fits perfectly with this design principle, we get an exceptionally fast response and detail in terms of transients and microdynamics. Tracking force and anti-skating are preset at the factory, making the A1 plug-and-play ready to use in seconds. This makes it perfect for vinyl novices and experienced listeners alike, as the sound quality is carried by all the audiophile features the A1 has to offer.
