Product Description
Sound system upgrade made easy - ATC26!
With its high performance component systems, AXTON once again demonstrates how the future ought to be: soundwise and technically, but also with regard to ease of installation – for the new speakers are so compact that they can be mounted without hassle in almost any OEM slot.
With the ATC series, AXTON introduces speaker systems that allow to retrofit and upgrade any vehicle in truly uncomplicated manner, for a transparent sound – even in combination with the original factory radio.
Ease of installation thanks, musicality and precision coupled with durability and high efficiency – these are attributes for which AXTON speaker are known for decades, where the new systems cause no exception of the rule.
The ATC systems have ferrite magnets of moderate dimensions to provide for a rich, powerful bass reproduction but still comply with mounting depth requirements of most vehicles.
Both speaker models deploy steel baskets painted in anthracite grey, PP cones with high damping and NBR nitrile surrounds for a long service life. Nomex spiders and 25 mm voice coils, wound on polyimide formers, ensure high mechanical and electrical resilience and power handling.
The sets feature a newly designed 25 mm soft dome tweeter that excels with a linear frequency response way beyond 20 kHz and a very low distortion level even at high SPL due to the use of a strong neodymium magnet. Aside of the transparent sound, this tweeter also comes with shallow housing design for a simplified mounting.
The crossovers are constructed with attention to detail: Equipped with MKT film capacitors, three different tweeter attenuations levels can be set (+3/0/-3 dB).
Gold plated terminals ensure trouble-free long-term operation without signal loss and underline the high quality of the AXTON component systems.
